The deal

Confessional is a free community ratings and tracking site for reality TV at confessional.fan. By using it, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language because legal boilerplate is exhausting and we'd rather you actually read them.

Your account

You need to sign in with Google to rate, follow, or vote. You are responsible for the activity on your account. Pick a username that isn't abusive, doesn't impersonate someone else, and doesn't try to mislead other users.

One account per person. If you delete your account, your ratings, votes, follows, and profile are removed permanently.

What you can and can't do

You can:

• Rate seasons and castaways however you like.
• Vote on tags and beginner-friendliness based on your honest opinion.
• Follow other users.
• Take the quiz.
• Browse, share, and link to anything publicly visible on the site.

You can't:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users or castaways.
• Spam ratings or votes (e.g. automated voting, mass-rating with bots, brigading).
• Post hateful, sexually explicit, or illegal content in bios, display names, or anywhere on the site.
• Scrape the site or its API in a way that disrupts normal operation.
• Try to break, exploit, or reverse-engineer the security of the site.
• Pretend to be a castaway, Anthropic, Confessional staff, or a brand.

If you do any of the things in the second list, we can remove your content, suspend your account, or ban you. We try to be reasonable about this.

Content ownership

Your ratings, votes, and bio are yours. By posting them on Confessional, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display them on the site and use them in aggregate stats (e.g. community averages, top-rated lists). If you delete content, that license ends for that content.

The site's design, code, and editorial content belong to Confessional. Cast photos and season posters are sourced from third parties (the Survivor Fandom wiki and TMDB) and are used under fair use for a non-commercial fan database.

Not affiliated with CBS or Survivor

Confessional is a fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CBS Studios, Paramount, Survivor Entertainment Group, or any official Survivor production. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

The site is provided as-is

Confessional is a hobby project run by one person. We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of data, or that the site will work the way you expect. If your favorite season is missing or a rating disappears, we'll try to fix it, but we can't promise anything.

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any losses arising from your use of the site.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and post a notice. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.

Ending things

You can stop using Confessional at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
